I purchased this rug to sit in the entranceway to my house. It is built more like a piece of carpet than a throw rug. No worries about it curling up or not laying nicely.The shag is medium thick and very well constructed. I am thoroughly happy with this rug. It does not obstruct the front door, catches everything from our shoes, yet remains “fresh” looking.I highly recommend this rug. Great colors and will serve you well wherever you place it. I expect it to last for many years. Way longer than any other throw rug I have, even sitting in the entrance to my home.Note: Due to the construction of this rug, it looks thick. I originally purchased a 1/2” thick padding for it. This was too much. It really needs a lot less, if you go with any padding at all. This rug is not going to move on you.
